Welcome to the last week of January. I am finally shaking off the last of bit of fatigue and exhaustion from the holidays and ready to dive into Spring! I have to admit, it takes me a while to get back in the swing of things after the holidays. Those first few weeks of January hit me hard. Anyone else?
I wanted to share a few of my favorite ways to recharge and get my energy back this winter.
Here is what I am doing to reconnect with my health and wellness goals for 2017:
1. Having a glass of water with apple cider vinegar, lemon and chia seeds in the morning before my coffee. I really feel the difference in my energy level. Read about the benefits and get the recipe here.
2. Moving my body at least 30 minutes a day. Once I get out of a workout routine, it is SO hard for me to get back into one. Fortunately, I have Coach Ali on my side. She has me so pumped to live a happier, healthier life. I am so glad we connected (read more about the awesomeness of Ali here.)
Ali’s challenge group got me started on Beachbody on demand and there are hundreds of different workouts to chose from each day. I got hooked on Shaun T Insanity years ago, but the work out can be very time consuming. Thankfully he has T25 which is just 25 minutes of heart-pounding, sweat-inducing abuse. My goal is 21 straight workouts. Today is day 4..eek!
What do you do to move your body?
4. Back to plant-based whole food eating. When I get off track from planning meals, it is pizza 2 or 3 times per week and the sluggishness comes back. It can be so tempting to curl up on the couch with a gooey slice of pizza and a glass of red wine. Finally, I am back to meal planning and it feels so good. Sheet pan dinners are my JAM!
Santa brought me a new cookbook for Clean Bowls that has super tasty recipes. Bowls are so easy and I love to prep the components on a weekend.

3 Grain Bowls (Green Goddess Bowl with Tahini Dressing is my fave!)
Winter Harvest Salad with Avocado Citrus Dressing (SO yummy!)
Crockpot Salsa Chicken (my kids love this!)
5. My skin was so dry and parched from being up under all the heat and frankly, I was off from my usual cleansing regime. I gave myself permission to have a spa night complete with pajamas, hot tea and good book. I applied our Charcoal Purifying Mask. After that, I used the Rejuvenating Toner Pads and sealed in the moisture with the Rejuvenating Radiance Serum. My skin is glowing and baby soft again. No need for foundation on busy days. Just a quick swipe of concealer and lipgloss gets me out the door.
