Why I am changing the focus of this blog

I have been putting this post off for a long time. Real talk, I have been in a total fog and completely unfocused on my blog. Work has been crazy busy since I have relaunched my design studio (portfolio website coming soon!) and I am booking clients for brand identity design and website development. I am learning wordpress, modern calligraphy, watercolor, and various fun craft skills. I have a confession to make, late at night, I get down under the covers and dive into my favorite little obsession – pinning articles about blogging and social media. I have pinned and pinned so many biz tips and blogging posts that my pinterest following has blown up in a few months. Apparently I have been helping others curate this information. But I have done nothing with the information. Absolutely nothing.

I now know why I have not been focused on my blog. I was not crystal clear on what I am truly passionate about. Actually, I was afraid to blog about it. I love what I do in direct sales. I work with a really cool company called viaONEHOPE and in a few short months have been the first to reach the Senior Director career level in our newly developed compensation plan. I want to shout it from the rooftops here and all over social media but I was afraid of scaring you away. I didn’t want to be that icky direct sales chick. But here’s the thing. I help stylish women have a life and business they love. I work really hard at coaching, encouraging, sharing tips and creating resources to be a savvy social seller. I have so much fun sharing our mission of cause entrepreneurship and my cup is so incredibly full.

I have made the hard decision to change the focus of this blog to be a resource for stylish women with social selling businesses. I realize I may lose some of my treasured readers who follow me for my fashion, beauty and style posts. But I just can’t help but feel so downright giddy about the direction I am going in. I have wanted a place to call home for training material for my team and so many other women who reach out to me on a daily basis ask questions about how to be successful in their business. I have so many wonderful posts and videos planned and I am so over the moon to go on this journey with you.

Bear with me as I work through the kinks of navigating this new world of finding my authentic voice and sharing it. And yes, of course I will be sharing sneak peeks of my life behind the scenes and what outfits to wear to parties, style tips and home decor. I mean, it wouldn’t be Lucky + Lovely if I didn’t, right? So excited, yall! Cheers to a new adventure!
