Brand yourself like a boss
Blogging helps you build your personal brand and builds your network of fans who are wanting to do business with you. No matter what company you signed up with or what products or services they sell, your first, only and number one thing you are selling is YOU. What makes the profession of social selling so cool is that everyone has the same products and services. It equals out the playing field. What makes the difference in your business is you. People buy from people they know like and trust. You are not the (make up, jewelry, oils, skin care, diet supplements etc.) girl. You are the go-to girl for all things fabulous. You are your brand and everything you share or represent, is a reflection of your core values. No matter what company you signed up with or what products or services they sell, your first, only and number one thing you are selling is YOU. Your Content Lives Forever
When you write blog posts you are creating valuable content that is searchable by search engines. This content, as opposed to facebook posts and instagram posts have the ability to be found and shared millions of times. Once it is published to your blog, it lives there forever and you have the ability to reach more people. Folks are looking for advice and tips every day on millions of subjects. I have always coached that your business should serve others and provide solutions to people’s problems. No matter what your company is, your product or service serves a need. When you create content centered around the solutions your product solves and share it on your blog, you are more likely to be found by new prospects every day. One of the things I love so much about blogging is that my images are found every day on google images. Those images are attached to my blog which invites traffic every day.
You are the expert
Blogging is such a cool way to establish yourself as the expert. Don’t think you are an expert? Well why are in you social selling? You have to own it baby! You are the expert on whatever your product is. If your company is skincare or cosmetics, you are asked to consult on colors or help with skin issues. If you are in fashion or wellness, you are asked to help customers lose weight or match accessories to an outfit. When you blog, you establish your expertise and advise hundreds of people at one time. This builds credibility and increases the “know, like and trust” factor.
Tell your story
Effective marketing is about telling a story and capturing the hearts of your prospective. Buying and joining an opportunity is emotional. The decision to buy is governed by the limbic brain or the part of the brain that controls emotion. When we tell a story and stir up the emotions of our prospects we are marketing to the decision making part of the brain. Telling a story with your blog allows you to be real, authentic and show many sides of yourself. It makes you relatable and trustworthy which establishes a deeper relationship with your audience.
Share your Opportunity
Here is where I really use my blog to do the heavy lifting for me. I have my own opportunity page on my blog. When I share the my business opportunity, I send traffic to a specially created page on my blog. Because let’s face it, recruiting is a process and you want the prospect to know that they are working with a leader and a person of value.
